Jeannette Lambert

Jeannette Lambert

Inspired by her jazz-loving parents and childhood addresses that spanned the globe, Jeannette Lambert began singing professionally in coffee shops at the age of 12.  Geoff Chapman of the Toronto Star wrote that “unadorned elegance is the keynote of Jeannette Lambert’s singing” and she was named one of the 500 best jazz vocalists of all time by author Scott Yanow in his book, Jazz Singers. She has performed around the world, written lyrics for music recorded by a number of other jazz vocalists.  Her latest cd of creative music, Sand Underfoot with special guest Paul Bley, is described in the All-Music Guide as full of "delicateness, creativity and telepathic interaction."

Bebop for Big Boys

In the past Jeannette and Michel's kids joined us on stage but they are older now and busy with their own musical projects.  They have recorded a few albums of their original songs which they prefer to keep for a very small select audience (themselves)
